To earn your Commercial Driver License (CDL), you need a training program that will equip you to be a careful, confident driver. Located in Clayton, New Jersey, Mike’s Driving School, Inc. is a family-run business dedicated to getting new and experienced drivers on the road safely. Our veteran instructors prepare students for the CDL road test with real-life experience in Class A and B vehicles.
We offer multiple CDL school courses so that students can enroll in the best class for their career goals:
Upon completion of a CDL course, a student will be prepared to take the written test and skills test required by the NJ Motor Vehicle Commission (NJ MVC) to obtain a Class A or B CDL. All courses require a minimum attendance rate of 80% except for the forklift certification course, which requires 100% attendance. Most classes run from Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Weekend and evening classes may be offered to accommodate student schedules.
Students in our CDL courses benefit from a combination of classroom instruction, onsite practice, and field experience. After we cover general knowledge of CDL vehicles in the classroom, students move to our training yard where they can practice operating Class A and B vehicles in a safe environment.
