How Our Door-to-Door Pickup Service Works

Our door-to-door service is simple and stress-free. Here’s what to expect when you schedule driving lessons with Mike’s Driving School.

Step 1: Schedule Your Lesson

Call our office at 856-728-2332 or contact us online to schedule your driving lesson. Let us know your preferred pickup location — home, school, or workplace — along with your available days and times.

Step 2: Confirm Your Appointment

We’ll confirm your lesson time and provide the name of your instructor. You’ll know exactly when to expect them and what vehicle they’ll be driving.

Step 3: Your Instructor Arrives

On lesson day, your instructor arrives at your specified location in one of our clearly marked, dual-control training vehicles. They’ll come to your door — no need to wait outside or watch for them.

Step 4: Your Driving Lesson Begins

Your lesson starts the moment you get in the car. Your instructor will review the plan for the day and begin instruction. Lesson time is actual driving time — we don’t count travel to a meeting point against your session.

Step 5: Safe Return Home

After your lesson, your instructor drives you back to your pickup location (or another approved location if arranged in advance). You’re safely returned to your door — no need for anyone to pick you up.

Is door-to-door pickup really free?

Yes. Door-to-door pickup and drop-off is 100% free and included with all behind-the-wheel driving lessons. There are no hidden fees, surcharges, or extra costs. It’s simply part of our service.

How far will you travel to pick up a student?

We provide door-to-door service throughout Gloucester, Camden, Burlington, Salem, and Cape May Counties. If you’re unsure whether your location is within our service area, call us at 856-728-2332 to confirm. We accommodate most South Jersey locations.

Can you pick up my teen from school instead of home?

Yes. We can pick up students from home, school, work, or other approved locations within our service area. Just let us know your preferred pickup location when scheduling. Many families find after-school pickup convenient for fitting lessons into busy schedules.

What if I need to reschedule a lesson?

Please provide at least 24 hours notice to reschedule without penalty. Call our office at 856-728-2332 to reschedule. Lessons canceled with less than 24 hours notice may be forfeited.

What if my teen isn't ready when the instructor arrives?

Our instructors will wait a few minutes, but they have other students scheduled. If your teen isn’t ready within 10 minutes of the scheduled pickup time, the lesson may need to be rescheduled and counted as a late cancellation. Please ensure students are ready on time.

Our complete teen driving course promotes safe practices behind the wheel and allows teens to gain experience in a variety of locations and circumstances. Solid driver education for teens helps reduce crashes and traffic violations.

Defensive Driving

Defensive driving means taking care to proactively reduce the dangers of operating a vehicle. A motorist who practices defensive driving techniques is less likely to get in a collision, helping to keep themselves and other drivers safe.

Evaluations Courses

The ability to operate a motor vehicle safely and under control is a vital skill. Like all skills, they must continuously be worked on and practiced. To help permitted and licensed drivers maintain their driving skills, Mike’s Driving School offers in-depth refresher and evaluation courses.
